Agentic AI learners double in a year as companies prioritise employee skilling - India Today

An edForce report highlights a significant acceleration in corporate investment in AI and related technology training across India, driven by the increasing integration of AI into business operations. The "Enterprise Learning Report FY2025-26" by edForce indicates that "Agentic AI" has become the fastest-growing category in learning, with the number of enrolled learners nearly doubling to 57,536. This surge suggests a strategic pivot by firms from merely experimenting with AI to actively deploying and managing AI systems on a larger scale. Beyond agentic AI, the report details substantial growth in other critical technology domains. Cloud computing training saw a 29% increase, reaching 41,876 learners, while DevOps training grew by 26% to 31,211 learners. These areas are crucial for building and maintaining robust AI-powered systems. Cybersecurity training also experienced a notable 39% rise, with 25,448 learners, underscoring the growing importance of securing digital and AI-driven infrastructures. Ravi Kaklasaria, Co-Founder & CEO of edForce, commented that enterprise learning is becoming increasingly outcome-driven, with a focus on building capabilities that directly support AI adoption and business transformation. This is further evidenced by a 36% increase in certification-based learning. The overall trend points towards AI adoption being treated as a broader business transformation, necessitating a skilled workforce.
